Kelly Rhodes, DDS
I grew up here in Wooster and love serving this community which has given me so much.
As a dentist, I have an opportunity to be part of people’s lives and to build real connections that often grow beyond doctor and patient. It is a joy to learn people’s stories, to be with them as they celebrate life changes and accomplishments, and to be at their side in those difficult times, too.
I want people to know I am here for them; I truly care and wish to help them achieve their oral health goals. Whether that is relieving pain, restoring function, enhancing a smile, or providing useful patient education, my focus is always on what is best and right for the individual.
It all starts with a conversation. I am an attentive and non-judgmental listener and want to understand what my patient expects, needs, and does not want. I also seek to learn about their personal concerns, including financials, timing, and lifestyle. The better I know what is needed, the better I can design treatment that works for the person’s individual situation.
I want my patients to understand the importance of dental health and how it impacts their overall health. I equally want each person to feel at ease in my hands, confident in the care they choose to receive, and educated in ways to maintain their healthy smile.
Education and Experience
Growing up in Wooster I was drawn to the medical field out of a desire to help people be happier and healthier. Dentistry felt like a perfect fit for my interests and abilities, with an added benefit of getting to know patients on an individual basis and being part of their lives.
I attended The Ohio State University, where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), and then entered into private practice. I have now been a dentist for over 25 years, caring for the smiles of my hometown neighbors, and have no doubt I chose the ideal career path!
I could not be happier with my practice, my team, and the wonderful individuals we serve. At Lone Oak Dental we are all friendly, outgoing, and family-oriented people. We thrive on the relationships we build with those we care for and appreciate the trust families place in us. My team members are down to earth, practical, and accommodating. Together, we value honesty, communication, and placing each patient’s best interests at the forefront.
Professional Affiliations and Continuing Education
I am an active member of the:
- American Dental Association
- Ohio Dental Association
- Stark County Dental Society
Through these professional organizations, I have access to a wide variety of online and in-person opportunities for continuing education.
Dentistry, like all areas of healthcare, is constantly changing. Research leads to new methodologies, technological innovations, and advancements in diagnostics and patient care. It is my responsibility to stay current on the latest options, incorporating the best into the practice.
My patients deserve high-quality dental care that delivers a comfortable experience and healthy, stable results. Continuing education allows me to provide that.
Beyond the Practice
I’m a mother of four: Forrest and his wife, Morgan, along with Sammy, Sydney, and AJ. Like many of my patients, being with my children, supporting their activities and interests, and enjoying their company is when I’m at my happiest. I reside on a farm with my search and rescue dog, Luca, where I raise a small herd of beef cattle.
